What to do until you're seen
- Toothache: rinse with warm salt water, floss gently to remove trapped food, and take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed.
- Knocked-out tooth: handle it by the crown, rinse with water, and place it back in the socket or in a cup of milk. Get to us within an hour if you can.
- Chipped tooth: save any pieces, rinse your mouth, and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
- Lost filling or crown: keep the area clean and avoid chewing on that side until we can see you.

- What counts as a dental emergency?
- Severe pain, swelling, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a lost crown or filling, or bleeding that won't stop after 10 minutes of pressure all warrant an urgent visit. When in doubt, call — we'll help you decide.
- Do you see new patients for emergencies?
- Yes. You don't have to be an established patient to be seen for urgent care.
- What should I do if a tooth is knocked out?
- Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with water, and try to place it back in the socket. If that's not possible, keep it in milk and get to us as quickly as you can — timing matters.
- What about after hours?
